Top 5 Lessons Learned from Reversing my Autoimmune Disease

In January 2013,  I was diagnosed with a severe autoimmune disorder. I never guessed it would take me 5 YEARS to get to the root cause of WHY I was so sick.
What a journey it has been!

The Top 5 Lessons I Learned from Reversing my Autoimmune Disease:

1) It wasn't my fault that I was sick.
2) My body wasn't broken, it wanted to heal.
3) The dialogue you have with yourself matters - more criticism DOESN'T equal more healing.
4) Diet is important, but it ISN'T everything.
5) For TRUE healing, I needed to take a hard look at ALL areas of my life - work, relationships - everything.

The truth is, I had to make MAJOR changes in most areas of my life, but changing the relationship with myself resulted in some of the most impactful improvements in my healing. 

For so long, I neglected to listen to what my “true self” REALLY wanted or needed.  I was more focused on everyone else around me.  It took time to repair the relationship with myself, but I’m so glad that I did.


I’m hopeful that by sharing what has helped me, it can help others navigate what can be an INCREDIBLY difficult journey.
